Week Four Exercises
Well, great class tonight! I really appreciate everyone's thoughts and comments, it adds depth to my collection of useful metaphors!
Well this week, we are to look at crafting a Core Identity Indemnification Statement. Sounds a little esoteric, but I assure you that this statement can prove to be quite a useful tool in your toolbox. Whenever you catch yourself directing ill will towards your "self", pull out you Core identity Indemnification Statement and remind yourself that your Core Identity is OFF LIMITS!!! Rather, use your CSI-Awareness Journaling to identify the pattern of behavior that your ill will is recognizing as not contributing to your health and wellbeing.
Make your lists of your screening profiles so that when your Core Identity is "on duty" the lists of what to attract into your life and what to steer clear of are at your finger tips.
Finally, how have you connected with your inner communities? What is your intention? What is your vision? How have you put that all together into a statement?

Week Three Exercises
Good morning Mental Pilates classmates. This week's exercises included thinking up an identity icon. Something you feels embodies the essence of your core identity, that part of you that remains after you strip away all of the rules, beliefs and behaviors that have formed in your life. This can be a fun exercise and it is useful to have an identity icon when you want to redirect awareness.
Also, this weeks exercises included the continuation of your awareness journaling. How is that going? Are you able to identify the emotions, patterns, rules & beliefs that are connected to a "frame" of awareness?
Also, by tapping into the wisdom of your emotions you can start forming lists of thoughts and actions that elicit vitality from your own mind/body. What's on your list?

Awareness Journal
So, has anybody noticed anything interesting in their awareness journaling?
It sometimes is a little awkward to start. But, experience has consistently shown that it is a very powerful exercise for revealing what gets through your customs border patrol and sneaks into your life. When you are momentarily off-duty, "frames" of awareness sneak into your life that strengthen patterns of behavior that do not serve your health and wellbeing. When your fears and doubts are doing the scanning, all you find is evidence that strengthens their existence. Your fears and doubts need evidence to survive and that is all they are looking for.
By tracking what evidence you are letting into your life experience, and what rule or belief it is serving, you can begin to determine which frames are serving your health and wellbeing and which are serving the interests of your fears and doubts.
